npub1ltxs5nhkhzl5kkpu2k6fqpnqy7adp8hfsn99t4mdkal3xu8tvfws67wp6h (npub1ltx…wp6h) It's not about what they introduced, its about how they did it. Silently, enabled by default, and when people complain about it, they Mozilla came with all sorts of statements rather than just being direct, open, and transparent.
If #Mozilla had the decency to be open about the new feature and transparent about how it works from the get-go, there wouldn't be this much outrage. But they're on a hot streak of enshittifying their browser over the last decade, and this rollout with the communication around it is just another incident on a long list of anti-user behaviour.
Rather than telling users to not be upset, try telling Mozilla to be more respectful of their users. They've been slacking for a while.
