I have written more than seven thousand posts on ErosBlog since 2002 and even though the vast majority are super "lite" -- perhaps just a few words about a dirty picture -- it's still the case that I have a lot of detailed rants, essays, and diatribes in the database.
A favorite part of the Mastodon experience for me is that going "Hey, I had something fun or interesting to say about [this current topic] in 2015 [link][quote]" is fast/easy and more often than you would think, well-received.
