Basically a shallow paint over the Covid pandemic rather than anything romero-esque or in any way slave revolt-y.
There's no revolt (at least in the right direction) in gleefully embracing a deadly plague.
I guess it's more bodysnatcher/brainwashing/evil-cult than zombies, going by classic interpretation.
