And to be clear I think the problem is very hard! Lots of training data really is illegal (or in some interesting cases potentially technically impossible) to share. But there was also a lot of patented code and… now there mostly isn’t. Ditto trade secrets, contractual obligations, etc. But we thought there was a vision worth fighting for and we figured it out. Preemptively tossing all that… ooof.
