This is correct. Art as a craft has been thoroughly gutted and replaced with garbage that requires no skill to produce + clever rationalization narrative glued on top of it to make it sound sophisticated.
The only place we even see art as a craft anymore is in consumer mass media. That's how low the status of it has gotten. You don't see it in art galleries anymore. Art galleries reject crafts in favour of narrative because crafts are low status.
