I have been trying to understand why the most vocal members of the US left dislike Biden so much despite him to my surprise being the furthest left in actual actions of any president in the last 50 years if not more.

I think a big part is that Biden does not make people emotionally feel connected to him.

Other US presidents did. Trump intimidated. Obama inspired. Bush commanded. Clinton empathized. Their bases connected with that.
