I think it will be relay proxies, or relay relayers. Relays “relayers” will connect to all relays, store a local database cache. On our phones, we connect to one or two relay relayers. This will save bandwidth (only get one version of events, not events from every relay), process stats, and most importantly, run centralized ML algorithms on the cache to filter spam and algorithmically boost posts. Relay relayers will also engage in censorship (the “good” kind), but the main data layer will be uncensored and always available to everyone.
