I wish I had more black friends on fedi. Being on here a year you can really see how painfully white it is here and why most of us stay on mainstream socials. It's not even too much of a big deal but the fact that fedi tries to brand itself as being so "welcoming and open" when it's only well and open to white subcultures and it's really obvious. And you can't be yourself unless you dial it down(your blackness) to make these white people comfortable, so I get why we leave. Kinda wanna join them
