#Microsoft just issued a Tweet denying that their “Connected Experience" scrapes customer data for #LLM training.
I find it odd that Microsoft - with all their lawyers, marketing and PR took a whole week to deny it? This should have been baked into very visible policies and immediately pointed to.
Instead, we have a tweet a week later, still not pointing to a document, ToS or ANY legally binding commitment.
It's like they needed to do crisis management, not a properly implemented position from day one.
Is this denial in a ToS somewhere? I would love to see a link.
Without a ToS commitment, I read the denial as they do not use the customer data to train LLMs *now*.
After all the backlash.
And after things calm down, they may 'accidentaly' turn it back on. After they 'accidentaly' delete the tweet.
