Mostly, I wish everyone in the world just objectively questioned and reacted to what’s actually going on around them.
I like to think people understand and know what’s right or wrong, but like frogs boiling in water, we somehow don’t feel the heat and wrongness that’s slowly grabbing foothold and stature in our world today.
The era we are living in is an epic. Were insanely lucky.
These 50 years:
- post 1990 - when the internet became freely available to the masses, and then…
- post 2008 - when the idea of open-sourced, freely accessible, uncensorable, fair money via bitcoin spilled out of Pandora’s box
For human flourshing, these years are the important ones to fight for (I think).
Go back 100, 300, 1000 years in the past… go forward100, 300, 2500 years in the future. Literally nothing is more important.
This era will be the start of many history books, or at least the start of a very important chapter (if they place importance on our evolutionarily history).
Like most inventions, I probably can’t grasp the overall impact and importance of Bitcoin for future generations.
But I know it moves us toward purposes of significance rather than survival.
It moves us towards art instead of war.
It moves us toward self sovereignty instead of authoritarianism.
I’m proud of the timeline I get to live in today.
I will be present.
I will help people.
I will love.
I will try my best.
as long I can.
