Eventually they convince Sam that slavery is bad and he agrees to let them go. Some day. For now, the KN staff remodels the dining area and, unusually, Gordon personally teaches the cooks how to make their menu better, instead of just overhauling the whole menu like he often does.

This episode didn’t feature a villain, deluded owner, arrogant chef or any of the usual problems. In being so average, it became exceptional. In the end, all that was needed was some honesty and better behaved slave children and the day was saved once again.
