Elon Musk has changed Anarchy's best route forward!

I have been an AnCap & accellerationist for many years, wanting to see democratic countries like the USA fall into authoritarianism at the fastest rate possible so that we can emerge on the other side and realize ancapistan within my lifetime.

Given the 2024 US election between the capitalist Trump and the communist Harris, Commula was my clear choice to "root for" (nothing could make me vote) in order for anarchy to have a chance at prevailing during my lifetime. So many things she and her deep state puppetmasters plan to do will take us into full-blown authoritarian communism within a decade or even less... But of course that horrible environment for freedom lovers is exactly where freedom technology like Nostr, Bitcoin, and 3D gun printing will grow at warp speed, and that communist period will end very quickly afterwards as well, with freedom lovers winning the day eventually. There is no way to deny that there will also be a ton of pain and hardship for me and my family down that road.

Just imagine all of that happening within 25 years from now... Would we be ready to show the world that an AnCap soceity is viable then? Possibly, once those decentralized tools are in place. Accellerationism was a worthy proposition for me, but just barely.

Elon joining this race on Trump's side has given me a lot to think about. I agree when he says that a Harris presidency may be the absolute end of democracy in the USA. He may even be right that this will be the very last election! (https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/1840409051357696324) My first instinct was to pop the champaign and cheer the end of our wretched, cronyist democracy.

What's Changed:

However, Musk also made this tweet recently:

He says plainly that if Harris wins, mankind may never go to mars as bureaucracy is already making it nearly impossible. Surely there is a bit of hyperbole here, but let's assume it pushes a martian settlement completely out of the USA's purview. Maybe in 25 or so more years China or Russia will get around to it.

The point? Well, there is one other, faster way to seeing ancapistan in our lifetime. Maybe even the next 15 years... Marsteading.

Assuming we AnCaps don't all become billionaires and spend Trillions on seasteading within that time, a commercial Martian settlement is the first chance we will have to come across large amounts of new land to homestead since 1492. Musk is actually talking about having SpaceX's boots on the ground on Mars, setting up a SpaceX settlement in 4 years from now. It wouldn't be new land conquered for America, he has explained in the past, it will be fully martian land, homesteaded by humans that will live their lives there... So a new government, or lack thereof, is needed.

Given a few years and enough money, anarchists have a real shot at marsteading ancapistan. It might be a lot cheaper than a serious attempt at Seasteading, too. (https://www.citadel21.com/citadel-seasteads)

This new possibility is a tiebreaker in my mind for this election. The fastest path to liberty is now the red team's goal. We should all hope for the best of both worlds; a comfortable time on Earth and then a possibility of Ancapistan on Mars. And in this rare instance, that means hoping the Orange man wins the right to rule over us in November.
