Let’s keep moving forward without a CBDC. Money is already digital. Also, downside risks for existing commercial banks are not adressed enough. A centralized, government-owned ledger storing such intensive amount of personal information of citizens is a honey pot 🍯 for all kind of attack vectors, not to mention the potential for abuse from the government as a tool of surveillance and total control. Btw, why not let the poeple decide if they want such spy tools in their lives? Aren’t we living in a democracy? We are living in a democracy..?! Right. Right, Anakin?
