Dad (nprofile…88ve) cool_boy_mew (nprofile…r70d) Pawlicker 🔧 (nprofile…nvyk) Tsuki 🌙 (nprofile…wxns) Lykanthrocide (nprofile…wucd) I loved Legend of the Mystical Ninja.
In theory. 😔
Or specifically I loved the ideas in the game that should've been done better. The sandal upgrades should've been either permanent or more protectable. More fun cool rewards from the amusement park (I basically beat the first level of Gradius for nothing!). Infinite plus game loop. Way less jumping puzzles and enemy spam, at least in the first playthrough, or alternatively reward players for grinding cash by letting them buy things that would let them make the game easier (the Dark Souls approach, because Dark Souls is a million times easier than this game).
The only things that wouldn't need to be fixed would be the boss fights which were actually perfectly balanced and fun, especially the big lantern stand dude, and the first boss where you bounce the plates back at them. Also, the soundtrack is still great, and I always loved the little goofy cartoons between areas.
Someone should make an indie game that just rips off the concept but makes it better. Same for Crystalis (L and R for quick swapping your swords).
