Just to put NZ’s unblanced/wages-centric tax system in global perspective, other developed economies ALL have one or more of the following taxes:
- Wealth tax
- Windfall tax
- Capital gains tax
- Inheritance tax
- Stamp duties on property
transactions.

NZ has none of the above taxes. Australia, by way of example, has two.
Arguably, NZ taxes wealth accumulation least in the world.
