The goal is a surveillance society. They get it by provoking violence which then justifies it because it's *for your safety* and the public begs for it. It's a MIHOP.
Also, humans need a bogeyman. The *far right* (like any extreme movement) has had little traction in the mainstream for decades, but is needed now to become the acceptable face of who we're supposed to hate. It's a way of controlling the conversation; everything is far right if we say it is, so only think approved thoughts.
