Yesterday my CS professor was trying to convince me to work on his "would be proprietary" research project. I declined the offer immediately.

Then he started to argue with me with arguments like, you'll learn a lot and how free software model is broken.

At the end of the day, core of the issue is, he wants to control the users with his software and I want give up that control with free software.
