That is a very trenchant observation. I had originally planned to do invisible stitches to tack the heavier cording before I changed to this geometric design that compelled finer threads. Being able to truly embroider the material seemed to dismiss that need. But a bad snag could easily ruin all of the work. And a decorative couching stitch would be wonderful!
