I've been thinking about the browser fingerprint thing.
I can't see any reasonable explanation for why any browser should be configured to tell anyone half of the shit that makes up a fingerprint. Yet even privacy browsers tell the whole world every random detail about your system with no way to even turn half of it off.
Can anyone explain to this to me? The entire design seems user hostile and easily fixable to me. What am I missing?
