Part of the economic problem right now is that there are a lot of rich Boomers and they're relatively immune to what's affecting the rest of us. I'm in a pretty affluent household and it might literally make more financial sense for me to buy a home in rural Tuscany and rent that shit out than it does to try and buy a home where I actually live.
