Yes, Spotify have already set a value of close to nothing on your music. I have nothing much to lose as I’m invisible on Spotify etc, and being early in a like minded community is valuable in itself and I’m interacting with other musicians in that group in a way that Spotify gave me none of.
Once someone blows up big on the V4V side, the same people will likely complain about missing the boat 🤷♂️
