Niggi Hardare 🏳️⚧️ (npub1mmf…w4rk) I'm not entirely sold on Ephrem's argument but he does mention that the Holy Spirit as the spirit above the waters was not how his community, which was a fairly Semitic early Christian tradition, read it. Which makes me wonder if there's more to it.
