Academic research is not the same, takes longer, has different -better- methods and ideas driving it, and we need to communicate why this matters to people. In this anti-science moment, higher ed is being devalued and defunded, & we need to speak to why people should defend academia. We need to be explaining the uniqueness of academic analysis and research, explaining its value.
