More people should know about Oral Rehydration Therapy, and specifically about rehydration salts.
When you have diarrhea, you need to prevent yourself from becoming dehydrated. If you just drink a Gatorade (or even pedialyte), you may encourage stool production which isn't what you want.
The N-ORS treatment is used in treating severe dehydration, as happens with cholera and rotavirus. Should also be supplemented with Zinc.
