Never tried it, one for the to-make list! There's a specialist south asian food shop about an hour from here, last time I was in I picked up an aubergine chutney....wow, OK, I'll allow that. Almost like the filling for fig roll biscuits here (fig newtons for the US). Great as an ingredient too.
