So apparently (hearsay, apply all the necessary caveats) the way Korean legal system works, if someone commits multiple crimes, they are indicted for them separately, one-by-one, with separate trials.
And with the first trial, you're likely to get off lightly, because you have no previous convictions. But in the second one, you have a conviction record, so you're not going to be treated as lightly. And so on, and so on.
So if you have, like this particular idiot, committed five or six indictable offenses, by the time the last trial rolls around, you're already a "career criminal", and get treated as such.
If this is true, and the King of Wankers has filmed himself committing multiple indictable offences while in Korea, he might indeed be looking at a considerable prison sentence.
