My kids have (so far) attended 5 undergraduate colleges / universities, and the payer user experience for the online payment system used by all five of them has absolutely sucked.
This is a great example of how the free market does not result in better products when the paying customer is not the end user. The people at the university either don't know or don't care that the app that parents and students use sucks, because they don't have to use it.
