I mean it gets to their whole worldview right? Always looking backward. A Nazis idea of art is simply reproducing "David" over and over and over and over and over again because the whole purpose of the Nazis's existence is to freeze society at the exact moment they view themselves as on top.
They literally cannot be, or do, anything else; the way they see the world, dictates that they cannot create. It's fundamental core personality/belief/ideas about the world stuff.
