The Laws of energy
The 1st Law of thermodynamics is that the total amount of energy in the universe must remain the same. It can be changed , stored, or moved, but it can’t be created or destroyed.
The 2nd law of thermodynamics states that energy always moves from higher to lower concentrations. Furthermore, all transfer of energy in a closed system creates a more and more disordered state- i.e more entropy. Because each time energy is transformed, some or all of it is wasted as it disperses from higher concentrations to lower ones.
