Weirdly 9 out of ten of my last two broodys chicks are males, 4 of the 5 before that were and two out of two of the Japanese broodys chicks, apparently this summer has been the same for everyone the breeder who I get and give birds to tells me.At first I wondered if it was because one of my hens was a genetic male (genetic males can become apparent hens in the egg and lay eggs but their offspring are more or less always male)But apparently male majorities are common this year #poultry #chickens
