The reality is that Lightning is gaining global adoption with many wallets and traditional banks adopting it. All of these wallets and banks are using Lightning Address and BOLT11. None of them support keysend because there is zero reason to other than Podcasting 2.0 - we are literally the only group of developers using it.
Although it is hard and it will break some things - we make this change now because it will benefit us all in the long term.
