This makes me sad. If you were to chat with professional artists, you'd find that one of their nightmares is their children publishing (or worse, "finishing") unfinished work posthumously. Doing so tinkers with their careful curation of their art and how they will be remembered.

Of course Márquez's book seemed fine to them, they aren't professional writers. This is clearly driven by wanting to cash in on their inheritance, despite his dying wishes.
