Yep, iPadOS 17 was fine - Stage Manager is much better now.
I think we're there already with a 1-2 year gap, but I'd like the line to be simplified - and for the peripherals to make sense as well. Function row is on an iPad Folio Keyboard, but not on iPad Pro Magic Keyboard for instance.
Then there's Apple Pencil.
Hopefully 2024 brings that.
