Went down to the hotel commons to get a drink of water and was going to pick up an ice cream sammich because it's just been that kind of day and the lady at the register gave it to me for free.

I was like: "what seriously?"
"yeah Merry Christmas!"

and that was the moment I really realized it was Christmas Eve.

I've been saying it was Christmas Eve to myself and others all day. Somehow this altruistic gift reminded me of the actual spirit of Christmas. It reminded me that it is actually Christmas right now. It's not just a day on a calendar where we dump presents n niceities.

I think soaking in the Disney for two weeks turned the meaning of *Christmas* in my brain into pure commercialism. Almost everything in Disney portrays it that way.
