I just saw someone do a manifesto on "jaywalking over cars."

I'm afraid what this really is, something too common, is "me over you."

It's saying that whatever I'm doing at the moment should take precedence over whatever anyone else is doing.

I honked at a guy who was trying to drive out of the "entrance only," he got really mad at me because I shouldn't have honked at him.

Same thing. Me over you, whatever I do should take precedence.
