Big news: AG Medina advises #CJEU that CEN/CENELEC/ETSI harmonised standards, eg #AIAct standards, must be published in the OJ and not benefit from copyright protection. Standards bodies usually charge 100€ each, and about 10 AIA standards needed for compliance. National standards bodies will be fuming & scared, as they are financially slipping and eager for AI Act related revenue — each body owns the copyright to the translations, makes €€€ from selling it. Sell more w/ blessing of law. #AIAct
