After two months of going Google-free on my HiSense A9, I appreciated the benefits; like amazing battery life and a break from constant ads. But, I kept finding myself reaching for another phone for essential tasks: navigation, ChatGPT, syncing apps, updates, and booking services.
Yesterday I caved in and couldn't take it anymore, and went into great lengths to reinstall Google services on the A9, aiming to consolidate everything on one phone while maintaining the healthier, blue-light-free experience of the E Ink display. Now, I'm hoping for a balanced, more intentional phone experience, however blue light free and less distracting.
Now rocking it with GApps. But this hasn't been the last fight ;)
