So I'm thinking the difficulties in interacting with #lemmy / #kbin from #mastodon come down to the lack of back-filling (?)
The issues surround following communities from masto, which result in firehoses of flattened views of posts and comments.
Ideally, one would get only posts in the feed and opt-in to seeing their comments when interested, just as on lemmy/kbin.
But that's back-filling, which mastodon/mblogs don't do (right?).
Masto's coming groups prob won't fix this either.
