Rocky Mountain Elk (Cervus elaphus nelsoni) in Packwood, Washington. It's pretty easy to find this herd wandering around the outskirts of town, especially in December when the snow has covered their mountain habitat. I got this shot way back in 2015 when I was still new at learning my first Sony mirrorless camera. I was really honored this creature would allow me to be a weirdo hiding behind a tree while I figured out the settings!
