Finally watched Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind with the kids last night. Happy to note that, while they enjoyed the movie, unprompted by me they had the same complaints about the ending (even the 10 year old said "It doesn't feel right - what happened to his family?"). So hooray for developing a sense of good storytelling!
Their favorite part? Finally understanding the Weird Al Mash Potato reference from the "UHF" movie.
