This is **bizarre**. The same problem happened with both web-based audio and local audio and video files, in multiple browsers. In apps like QuickTime Player and DaVinci Resolve, there were playback problems similar to this, like repeating audio drops during playback even though the waveform showed the audio was intact. Anyone have an idea what might have caused this?
Details: monitor connected to MacBook Pro via USB-C and charging the MBP. The problem went away after a reboot of the MBP.
