When you see the "ALT" badge indicating alt text field has something in it, mouseover to check what's actually in it before boosting.

I just found out someone put "page" as the sole word. The image was of an old scientific paper. I unboosted.

Screenreader users deserve those words just as much as sighted people do. If you don't have the original document to copy/paste, use the OCR tool in the image editing window.
