"as soon as it supports" is my thirty year journey with BSD. For a while I ran NetBSD and OpenBSD on some SPARC machines, because they were well-defined, well-supported, and unchanging, and I'm currently using FreeBSD on a NAS, bit for desktop work it's just never quite hacked it.
But I totally agree that BSD's simple, unified core is super attractive.
