You may prefer to look at the Known Network to see posts from many different accounts, but just remember that only the Public posts will be displayed, and instances can be removed from the known network inside the MRF, so their public posts will be set to unlisted.
You can also look at the Public timeline, which is all public posts from local users only. They must be on the same instance as you to see them. Every post there is on others' Known networks if they are come across and aren't rejected. And if you're on a single-user instance, the Public timeline is 100% you.
Unlisted posts won't show up in public timelines or hashtags, but they can otherwise be seen in discussions or on people's profiles. You can follow the users if you want to see their unlisted posts in your timeline, as well as followers-only posts.
