EU chatcontrol seems indirectly designed as a bigtech-datagrab and exterminator of commercial messengers (whatsapp etc) as it exempts opensource messenger services like email, deltachat, Matrix, peer2peer.
Not saying spying is good, just saying it's spying on spies.
