I think I can see both your points: Creatives (as well as activists) are often asked to do work pro bono, and maybe for exposure, with a . It's tiring. so I get that people are wary of creative commons because it seems like more of that.

At the same time, creative commons opens up a level of cooperation and co-creation I rarely see without it. It goes a long way, too - who knows what awesome project someone will start with my art in 10 years if I give them the chance?
