I think it was a mistake for this new #release of #Mastodon to include both new functionality (which everyone welcomes) AND cosmetic changes (which not everyone does). I would rather have had one release with the former, which we could all get unambiguously excited about; then, if necessary, bleed in the cosmetic changes through a sequence of minor releases. (Though really I would rather the UI had just stayed the same.)
