Filament drying seems to be a "killer app" for #3dprinting
When you start out with new filament, freshly out of its vac-pac, everything behaves so well.
I keep my filament in a box with dessicant in it, but it's far from perfect. Typically this gives around a 30% humidity, which at least is better than half the humidity in the room. But even then after several months there are noticeable problems.
Luckily the food dehydrator we bought turns out to also be an excellent filament dehydrator!
