It’s easy to denounce Amazon, and, yes, I've major issues with their monopoly. I do appreciate that they made self-publishing possible, but that was when there was still competition.
In many ways, my anger is more directed at how the US has allowed monopolies to grow & flourish & abuse consumers. Amazon is merely just one example. Drug manufacturers, insurance providers, oil companies, and so on, the list goes on.
