Much depends on how the relationship with the EU was envisaged; back in the EU we'd be unable to have separate international trade deals & would re-enter the EU deals; but as we are unlikely to rejoin in the next decades its possible to have both.
The problem is the EU negotiators might see any deal with the US as the UK offering a way to take advantage of any import deal being offered to the UK - i.e the UK being an entry point to avoid tariffs - which would make talks difficult!
